Welcome to the Grimoire
Why I’m Rebuilding Here on Substack, and How to Find the Magic You're Looking For
Hello, you beautiful threadwitches, fae-hearted makers, spell-slinging scholars, and velvet-draped chaos goblins—
I see you. You’ve wandered into my atelier of enchantment, where scissors gleam like moonblades, corsets whisper secrets, and the air hums with magic stitched into every hemline. Whether you arrived here through a softly lit trail of Instagram stories, a TikTok stitch that spiraled into fantasy, or your own creative curiosity—I’m thrilled you’ve found your way to That Lit Witch on Substack.
This isn’t just a new platform. It’s a reclamation.
It’s a rebirth.
And it’s a place I’ve been dreaming of for a long time.
So let’s talk about why I’m here (yes, even while still keeping one foot in the Patreon portal), why you might want to be here too, and how I’ve conjured not one, not two, but three distinct spaces for us to explore—each aligned with a different part of the strange, sparkly, sensual constellation that is… me.
✨ First, a Little Backstory (Because Every Witch Has One)
Once upon several lifetimes ago, I taught graduate-level literature and writing. I spent my days in libraries and lecture halls, discussing myth, metaphor, and the power of narrative. I loved it. But I also knew there was something wilder and more sensuous in me—something that didn’t quite fit within those ivy-draped walls.
So I left.
I traded tenure tracks for fabric bolts, swapped syllabi for sketchbooks, and followed the thread of my passions into a life where fantasy and fashion could collide. That’s how That Lit Witch was born: as a personal reclamation of art, story, and sensual embodiment—all sewn together by hand.
Since then, I’ve built a community across social media, a business designing fantasy gowns, and a name for myself in the beautifully tangled worlds of romantasy, cosplay couture, and creative sexuality. And yet, something always felt fragmented. Dispersed.
I had Patreon for behind-the-scenes content.
Instagram for pretty pictures.
TikTok for transitions and sass.
My podcast for the unscripted.
My DMs for the chaos (and oh, the chaos).
But I wanted more. Or rather—I wanted less clutter. More intention.
A place where the whole story could be told.
And, if we’re being honest… I got tired of fighting algorithms and workarounds just to share my truth.
🪩 Why I’m Rebuilding Here (and Why Apple Can Kindly Sit This One Out)
Let’s get one thing clear: I haven’t left Patreon yet. It’s still active—for now—and continues to host my spicy, nerdy, behind-the-scenes content for those who joined me there early on. But over time, it’s become clear that Patreon just isn’t built to support the full scope of what I create.
Let’s start with the financial spellcraft:
If you’re on an iOS device (like many of my followers are), Patreon automatically inflates subscription prices by up to 30% just so they can pay Apple’s fees. That means you pay more for the exact same content, without any added value. That’s not sexy. That’s not fair. That’s just… tech capitalism in a bad wig.
I want to honor your support—not watch a giant fruit company skim your generosity like cream off the top.
Beyond that, Patreon makes it incredibly difficult to segment content. I have spicy material. I have scholarly essays. I have corset tutorials and fairy-tale photo sets and kink research. But Patreon wants it all crammed into one messy cauldron with little room for nuance.
Substack, on the other hand, lets me build exactly what I’ve always envisioned: a curated, intentional creative world where each piece of what I do has a proper home.
So while I haven’t said goodbye to Patreon just yet, I am rebuilding here. Slowly, intentionally, and with great care. This is the next phase of my creative life—and I want you here for it.
✨ Why Substack? Why Now?
Because Substack gives me the freedom to build something that actually mirrors how I live, create, and share.
Here, I can:
Build multiple publications (yes, three!) that speak to distinct sides of my work
Deliver content directly to your inbox (no apps, no logins, no third-party upcharges)
Offer a mix of free content and deeper paid experiences
Integrate videos, downloads, private threads, and interactive posts
Invite you into a space that feels personal, curated, and aligned—not algorithmic or shadowbanned into oblivion
💫 The Three Publications (aka My Soul in Segments)
Instead of trying to force everything into one cauldron, I’ve created three distinct—but interconnected—Substack publications. Each reflects a different part of who I am, and each welcomes you to explore, learn, and feel seen.
🕯️ That Lit Witch
This is the heart of my creative world and the one you’re reading now. It’s where fabric meets folklore, and every stitch is a spell.
Here you’ll find:
Studio updates and behind-the-scenes glimpses
Sewing tutorials and magical crafting techniques
Downloadable patterns and project walkthroughs
Fantasy fashion essays and costume lore
Commission window announcements and exclusive shop drops
If you love bookish aesthetics, fantasy silhouettes, and making magic with your hands, That Lit Witch is your new sacred space.
🖋️ Ink & Lavender: Tiffany’s Secret Diary
This is where I get personal. Where I share what doesn’t always fit into captions or tutorials—soft reflections, bold truths, and sultry stories.
Inside Ink & Lavender, you’ll find:
Creative embodiment practices
Musings on motherhood, identity, and healing
Sensual reflections and spicy explorations
Unfiltered thoughts and diary-style dispatches
It’s part journal, part shadow work, part whispered spell between friends.
🖤 Artistic Edge Magazine
This is my research space—the one rooted in my training in sexology and psychology. But don’t worry, it’s not a lecture hall.
This publication is for:
Destigmatizing alternative relationships
Kink psychology and real-world applications
Sex-positive education in plain language
Unpacking dynamics of consent, power, and intimacy
If That Lit Witch is the enchanted wardrobe, and Ink & Lavender is the diary hidden beneath velvet covers, Artistic Edge is the candlelit seminar room—where we talk about the deep stuff with empathy and curiosity.

🌙 Why It’s Structured This Way
Because I’m tired of being asked to shrink.
Tired of being told that if I’m smart I can’t be sensual, or that if I create erotic work I must not be serious, or that fantasy isn’t “real” enough to matter.
This structure allows me to hold all of it without compromise.
To show up as a whole human—with lace in one hand and research notes in the other.
You don’t have to choose between craft and sensuality, between scholarship and self-expression.
You can be all of it. And here, you’re encouraged to.
🖤 Thank You for Being Here
Whether you’ve been with me since my first corset or you’re just discovering my world, thank you.
This space is for the dreamers who want to build their magic with their own two hands.
For the witches who sew. For the readers who dress like their favorite heroines.
For the tender rebels and story-chasers and sensual scholars.
This is your invitation.
Let’s make something gorgeous.
With love, velvet, and a dash of chaos,
Tiffany aka That Lit Witch
